Which framed mirrors match my tapware finish?

The Valencia (600 × 1000 mm oval) has a slim stainless steel frame in Matte Black, Antique Brass, Brushed Brass and Brushed Nickel, and the 800 mm round Capri comes in Matte Black, Antique Brass, Brushed Brass and Brushed Nickel: the same finish names as our tapware. The Framed Positano, Framed Rivera and framed Amalfi come in Gold, Silver, Black and (Positano, Rivera) Gunmetal. Matching mirror frames to tapware.

Are framed mirrors backlit or front-lit?

Both. The Framed Positano, Framed Rivera and framed Amalfi are front-lit, so the light comes through the face towards you: better for close grooming. The Valencia and Capri are backlit, with a soft glow on the wall. Frontlit vs backlit.

Do these mirrors plug in, or do I need an electrical worker?

There’s no plug. Every LED mirror here is hardwired, so a licensed electrical worker connects it to a 220–240 V supply on the wall behind the mirror. Ask for the supply near the centre of where the mirror will hang, and if you’re renovating, settle that before the wall is lined or tiled. How high should it hang above the tap?

Leave 100–200 mm between the top of the tap (or splashback) and the bottom of the mirror, and never less than 100 mm. With a tall basin mixer, measure from the top of the spout. Decide the height before your licensed electrical worker runs the cable, because the supply sits behind the mirror. Our mirror height guide has the full drawing.

What size suits my vanity?

We generally recommend the largest size that’s no wider than your vanity. When in doubt, size up, if the space allows it; if a side wall, tiles or the door make it tight, go one size down. Our framed mirrors are 600–800 mm wide, so they suit single vanities of that width or more; over a wide or double vanity, hang two, one centred over each basin. Double vanity guide.
