Round mirror questions

Go as wide as your vanity allows, up to its full width but never wider. The Amalfi comes in 600, 700, 800, 1000 and 1200 mm across; the Amalfi Ambient goes up to 800 mm, and the framed Amalfi and Capri are 800 mm. A round mirror is as tall as it is wide, so check the wall height above the tap too. If that size won’t fit, choose one size down. Mirror size guide.

There’s no plug. Every LED mirror here is hardwired, so a licensed electrical worker connects it to a 220–240 V supply on the wall behind the mirror. Ask for the supply near the centre of where the mirror will hang, and if you’re renovating, settle that before the wall is sheeted or tiled. Do LED mirrors need an electrician? explains the cable position.

Leave 100–200 mm between the top of the tap (or splashback) and the bottom of the mirror, and never less than 100 mm. With a tall basin mixer, measure from the top of the spout. A round mirror’s lowest point is the centre of its curve, so that’s the point to measure to. Decide the height before your licensed electrical worker runs the cable, because the supply sits behind the mirror. Our mirror height guide has the full drawing.

The framed Amalfi is front-lit: the light comes through the mirror face towards you, which suits close grooming. The Amalfi, Amalfi Ambient and Capri are backlit, with a soft halo on the wall behind the glass that’s flattering but less direct, so pair them with a downlight over the vanity. All switch between warm, neutral and cool white. Frontlit vs backlit.

The Capri has a frame in Matte Black, Antique Brass, Brushed Brass and Brushed Nickel, the same finish names as our tapware. The framed Amalfi comes in Gold, Silver and Black; those are frame colours, so compare them with your tap in person. The Amalfi and Amalfi Ambient are frameless. Matching mirror frames to tapware.

Round Bathroom Mirrors

Round bathroom mirrors are one of the most popular mirror styles in contemporary bathroom design, valued for their ability to soften a space while creating a clean and balanced aesthetic. The circular shape naturally contrasts with the straight lines of vanities, tiles and cabinetry, helping create a more inviting and visually harmonious bathroom environment.

Equally suited to minimalist interiors, luxury ensuites and modern renovation projects, round mirrors bring a timeless quality that works across a wide range of design styles. Their versatility and elegant simplicity have made them a favourite among homeowners, architects and interior designers throughout New Zealand.

Our collection includes premium round LED mirrors, illuminated bathroom mirrors and smart mirrors designed for modern homes.

Round LED Mirrors

Round LED mirrors combine integrated lighting with contemporary styling to deliver both practicality and visual impact. Built-in LED illumination provides clear and even lighting for grooming, skincare and makeup application while enhancing the overall atmosphere of the bathroom.

The circular shape creates a softer focal point around the vanity area, while integrated lighting adds a refined and luxurious finish to the space.

Many models include advanced features such as dimmable LED lighting, adjustable colour temperature settings and integrated demister technology, providing everyday convenience without compromising on design.

Round Smart Mirrors

Round smart mirrors combine elegant design with modern bathroom technology to create a more seamless daily experience. Features such as Bluetooth connectivity, touch sensor controls and anti-fog functionality offer additional convenience while maintaining a clean and minimalist appearance.

Designed for contemporary homes, smart mirrors provide a practical solution for homeowners who want to integrate technology without disrupting the overall aesthetic of the bathroom.

Illuminated Round Bathroom Mirrors

Illuminated round mirrors provide balanced vanity lighting while serving as a striking design feature within the bathroom. The soft circular form helps create a more relaxed visual flow, making round mirrors particularly effective in bathrooms where a sense of openness and balance is desired.

Their versatility allows them to work equally well above single vanities, double vanities and compact powder room layouts. The integrated lighting enhances functionality while contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Round Mirrors for Contemporary Bathrooms

Round bathroom mirrors remain one of the most adaptable mirror styles available. Their simple yet sophisticated shape complements contemporary, coastal, minimalist and luxury interiors without feeling tied to short-term design trends.

From apartments in Auckland to luxury homes in Wellington and Christchurch, round mirrors continue to be selected for their ability to elevate a space while maintaining timeless appeal.
